Fishing Spot With Fountains!

Haiz.. My dry season continues yet again. This time never even get to peek any living Peacocks, except this floating dead one, which was promptly scooped by one of the cleaners. Not sure whether Toman is around but i thought i saw a dark one scattering.. Jetty designed nicely for lurers though.. Not a bad place to fish except theres not much shelters, but quite cool by the fact it got fountains.. LOL!

3rd Time 'Lucky' !?

LOL! First time hear Toman eat bread, and then saw the greedy bastard casually swam around, with a float dangling atop water! At first glance, i thought the red thing on the water is a popper and quite amusing to see it moving quite fast, and then it CHANGED directions! LOL! Managed to hook up the float line and the Toman fought hard, my soft rod is on a uphill battle here, cos from the looks of it, it must have been 4kg at least! In the end, it broke its bait hook but im not sad, cos its really fun see my reel screaming but ultimately, save the fish from choking! LOL! Then i saw the Toman shifu managed to hook out a HUGE Toman, but the clever bastard buried near the bank and came off the Surface Cruiser, without its mid trebles! What powerful beast!

Where are the Peacocks!

Another fruitless trip. At least im better equipped to deal with the weeds... I think the area is finally overtaken by the 'smart' Toman family.. Those are the ones constantly getting free lessons from us anglers.. Now they siam all lures lah!!! ZZZzzz.. Luckily the sun not so punishing loh, else getting grilled again so unrewarding loh. Final conclusion: sighted one small hum peacock, 2 orange carp nest and many green mamas.. No takes and all i get from this 3 hrs session is.

Death Of 'Basketball'

Long time never went to my favorite haunt, and i wish i havent.. My shining stream now was covered with weeds and its clear the Peacock Bass or the other residents are on the verge of exodus.. Ambush spots, hiding area, oxygen level was off the mark.. You can see dead peacocks too, one even had its tail chomped by the Toman and left to die.. This type of ecology would unevitably led to less fishes.. Even the resident orange carp aka 'Basketball' went bellyup. But in nature nothing would go to waste actually.. Haiz, need to find another spot liao.. Netters, baiters and tapaoers ran amok so much so that even suckerfish that keep the riverbed clean, they WILL eat too!

Retirement of Daiwa Crossbeat

Long time no fish blog liao.. too many things crop up and after nearly one year, finally return to my favorite sport. Maybe its because of Jeremy Wade, bonafide host of River Monsters that spur me back to my waterholes.. lol.. Anyway during these times i have still went on the hunt.. Caught a few, snapped them up then lost my phone... GG.. but still got stored a couple in my comp.. Finally, my crossbeat sustained a height reduction injury after some nasty encounter which at best, left to rest quietly..
